Catherine was born in Kinston, NC. She is a singer of the gospel of Jesus Christ, actor, song writer and praise dancer. Currently residing in Virginia Beach VA. The Lord has birth ministries from her such as The Spirit of the Lord Praise Dancers, Young Christians Maturity Ministry and Club Jesus for the our youth and young adults, training up the youth in the way they should go. At her home church, Mount Olive Baptist Church she is actively part of the Music Ministry, and has been called upon to direct and lead the Praise and Worship team and the Cathedral Choirs, she serves as Cathedral Choir president.​​

  • Toured seven cities with the God’s Got My Back Tour featuring Lady C and Jessica Reedy

  • Was featured artist on Atlanta Live! January 25, 2022

  • Currently nominated for 7 Rhythm of Gospel Awards 2022, 3 Nominations for the Voices of Gospel Music Awards and 2 nominations for the Gospel Choice Music Awards

  • Winner of (2) Two Rhythm of Gospel Awards 2021 for CD “Songs in the Key of Jesus” – “Alternative Christian Gospel CD of the Year” and “Alternative Christian Gospel Artist of the Year"

  • Released “single in April 2022 – “When the Spirit Moves” which has been moving up the Gospel charts.

  • Winner of (2) Two Rhythm of Gospel Awards 2020 for CD “Songs in the Key of Jesus” “Urban Contemporary Female Vocalist of the Year” and “Praise and Worship CD of the Year”

  • Presenter for the 2018 The Rhythm of Gospel Awards Category 17

  • Released Single in 2019 – Lift Him UP featuring “ Levi Little” from the group Black Street

  • She was selected as a Finalist to perform for the 2019 Stellar Awards Independent Artist Showcase.

  • Catherine was also chosen as a nominee for the 2019 IRAA Awards for Traditional Female Artist of the Year for her CD “Songs in the Key of Jesus.”

  • Catherine was thrilled to lend her voice as one of the 2019 Praise and Worship Leaders for the Morning Worship Experience for the National Alliance of Gospel Music Professionals at the 2019 Gospel Musical Workshop in Washington, D.C.

  • In 2016 Catherine won the Akademia Music Award for Best Christian Gospel Song for her song “For You Alone”.

  • Catherine has been an active member of the Gospel Music Workshop Association for numerous years and has toured nationally with VBIC, GMWA and the Virginia Gospel Mass Choir.

  • She has toured internationally to Slovenia, Italy, and Switzerland. Catherine has shared her music on many platforms including the “Living Witness Television Iprayz Artist Showcase” as well as the “Rhythm of Gospel Awards” showcases in Florida, Alabama and South Carolina.

  • She has performed on the HP Virginia Gospel Showcase in Franklin, Virginia. She performed at the Douglass Theater in Macon, Georgia as “Sister Rosetta Tharpe”. She was pleased to perform at the Musical Soul Food Black Gospel Festival for their 15th year anniversary 

  • Catherine wrote and released her first CD named “Songs in the Key of Jesus” which include her singles: “Let’s Praise the Lord” and “For You Alone.”

  • At the 2014 Rhythm Of Gospel Awards, Catherine was delighted and honored to win the “2014 Urban Rhythm and Praise Song of the Year” for “Let’s Praise the Lord” which she co-wrote with her sister.
